Smarsh Technology, Leadership Recognized by Industry Analysts

Three respected technology industry research analyst groups have recognized Smarsh and its enterprise information archiving offerings as leaders over the past several weeks.

In December, Smarsh (Actiance) was named a leader in the 2018 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Information Archiving (EIA) for the fourth consecutive year. The report provides a detailed overview of the EIA market, and evaluates vendors based on completeness of vision and ability to execute. Smarsh is positioned furthest to the right on the completeness of vision axis in the entire Magic Quadrant.

The Forrester Wave: Information Archiving Cloud Providers, Q1 2019,  published on Feb. 21, is a guide for buyers considering their purchasing options in the technology marketplace. Smarsh (and its Enterprise Archive Enterprise/Private Cloud) was positioned as a leader in the Forrester analysis, which scores providers on two axes, current offering and strategy.

Another prominent industry analyst firm, The Radicati Group, named Smarsh as one of four Top Players in its latest Information Archiving Market Quadrant released on Feb. 26. This recognition marks the ninth straight year that Smarsh has earned Top Player placement from The Radicati Group, based on the dual criteria of strategic vision and functionality.

The reports kicked off a promising 2019 and capped off an incredible 2018, as Actiance and Smarsh joined workforces, aligned under the Smarsh brand, and introduced the Connected Suite, its combined, comprehensive product portfolio. As the industry’s largest pure-play archiving provider, Smarsh supports archiving for over 80 content types, captured reliably in their native, immutable format, and available for search, supervision and production in support of e-discovery, compliance and recordkeeping initiatives. It’s Enterprise Archive platform is available in multi-tenant and private single-tenant deployments, designed to meet customers’ unique volume, performance and privacy requirements.
