Starting today, our customers will have enhanced archiving support for a growing list of new and emerging messaging channels, because Smarsh has completed the acquisition of Presensoft, a pioneer in cloud-based archiving solutions used to enforce corporate security and compliance policies.
With the acquisition, Smarsh will offer our global customers more support for different message types, including Microsoft Skype and QQ, within our Smarsh Archiving Platform. The integration of Presensoft intellectual property and services will also allow us to enhance current archiving support for public instant message channels like AOL Instant Messenger and Yahoo! Messenger—plus private channels including Microsoft Lync, ICE Chat and Bloomberg.
Presensoft has a history with Smarsh. For years, the company has been a great long-term partner. Bringing Presensoft into Smarsh allows us to expand support to customers with more content types, so they can easily meet their information governance and compliance requirements.
It’s no secret that companies in regulated or litigious industries are required to archive and supervise more and more content types. However, they don’t want to have to struggle with a different archiving solution for each one.
We’re finding that compliance and legal teams are turning to the Smarsh Archiving Platform because it gives companies the complete supervision and e-discovery package, no matter what content types they use. The platform allows you to use the same governance policies, supervision procedures and e-discovery processes across an entire archive, for email, instant messaging, social media, mobile/text messaging, website content, and other popular electronic business communication channels.
The Smarsh Archiving Platform user interface also delivers faster and more efficient searches and a streamlined, time-saving content review process, helping companies address compliance risks and use e-discovery capabilities as needed.
We’d like to welcome Presensoft to Smarsh, and look forward to more great things to come!
Scalable for organizations of all sizes, the Smarsh platform provides customers with compliance built on confidence. It enables them to strategically future-proof as new communication channels are adopted, and to realize more insight and value from the data in their archive. Customers strengthen their compliance and e-discovery initiatives and benefit from the productive use of email, social media, mobile/text messaging, instant messaging and collaboration, web, and voice channels.
Smarsh serves a global client base that spans the top banks in North America and Europe, along with leading brokerage firms, insurers, and registered investment advisors. Smarsh also enables state and local government agencies to meet their public records and e-discovery requirements. For more information, visit www.smarsh.com.
